Nestled along the Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge, Batar is one of southern Indiana's most unique destinations for small weddings and receptions. We welcome all faiths and all couples who want to share a life commitment with family and friends.

We specialize in small, more romantic weddings. Ceremonies may be held inside the Hall or outside at one of several garden settings. If it rains, it's no problem. We'll have an indoor ceremony back-up plan ready! Floor-to-ceiling windows and 180 degree views will bring our wooded setting inside.

What WE Provide

Batar is designed to be a blank slate so that you and your own style will be the star. So whether "Country Elegant" or "Urban Fun" is your style, we've created a venue that will enhance your style - not dictate it.

Choose from a woodsy outdoor location, or a ceremony inside our elegant Muscatatuk Hall with a wrap around garden view.
We provide, and set-up chairs for indoor and outdoor ceremonies, as well as tables, and white linens for your reception.

What YOU Provide
You provide your own decor, and caterer. (A list of area florists, planners, caterers, etc is available).
You also provide your own officiant. (We have officiants for all types of ceremonies if you need help finding someone).

Availability
Muscatatuck Hall is available for indoor and outdoor weddings, and receptions from April until December, 2022 on Saturdays from 4 to 10 pm, and Sundays from 11 am to 5 pm.

Rehearsals
Wedding rehearsals are included in the price and may be held a week, or the day before the wedding. 

Wedding Options

PRICES: Prices vary based on when you book and which option you choose. Please call or email for specific prices, and include your desired month/day, roughly how many people attending including the wedding party, and if you are interested in a ceremony only, or ceremony and reception.

• Wedding only
- Includes a Rehearsal day and a Wedding Day.
- Includes private bridal party waiting rooms, your choice of indoor/outdoor ceremony location, and chairs set-up.
- Maximum number of guests including wedding party: 70

• Reception only 
- Indoor Wedding Reception.
- We provide, and set up tables, chairs, white tablecloths, buffet table, cake table, and gift table.
- Maximum number of guests including wedding party: 40

• Wedding & Reception 
- Includes a Rehearsal and Decorate Day, and a Wedding Day with Reception.
- Includes private bridal party waiting rooms.
- We provide, and set up tables, chairs, white tablecloths, buffet table, cake table, and gift table.
- Your special day may last as long as you wish within the times given above for each day.
- Maximum number of guests including wedding party: 40

Great Location
Batar is centrally located between Indianapolis and Louisville, and is just 5 minutes east of Interstate 65 on US Highway 50. Guests coming from the north or south have just two turns to make: One turn off of the interstate, and a second turn into Batar.
